Construcción de obstáculos(Stronghold) / Construction of obstacles (Stronghold)

Hoy sábado 30 de enero en el taller de robótica, Oscar Gómez y su servidor, empezamos a ensamblar las piezas de madera, que ya habíamos cortado el miércoles 27, para darle forma a las bases de los obstáculos del reto Stronghold que servirá al equipo Xrams 6200 para hacer las pruebas con el robot. Hoy solamente completamos un obstáculo, pero en esta semana terminaremos los 4 obstáculos que nos faltan. Deberían ser 8 pero por falta de recursos solamente podremos construir 5 obstáculos, que esperamos sean suficiente para las pruebas.

Considero que los ensamblaremos rápido ya que tanto a Oscar como a mí se nos facilita el trabajar con taladros, serruchos eléctricos y desarmadores. En lo personal me emociona el poder construir los obstáculos bien, para que nuestro robot pueda practicar y experimentar en los que serán fáciles y los que serán más complicados.

Realmente fue un día muy productivo, mientras nosotros cortamos la madera y construimos uno de los obstáculos, nuestros demás compañeros estuvieron en un seminario de programación en LabView, otros estaban trabajando con los patrocinios y aportando ideas de cómo obtener fondos porque la cuenta regresiva empieza el lunes 01 de febrero.

Today Saturday January 30th in the robotics workshop, Oscar Gomez and myself, began assembling the previously cut wood pieces that would give shape to the bases of the Stronghold challenge’s obstacles. These bases will help our team, Xrams 6200, perform tests with the robot. Today we only finished one obstacle; but on this week we will finish the 4 obstacles that we are missing. There are supposed to be 8, but due to the lack of funding we will only be able to build 5...pity! We hope they will be enough for the tests.

We consider that we will assemble them quickly since both Oscar and I find it easy to work with drills, chainsaws and screwdrivers. Personally it thrills me being able to build the obstacles well, so that our robot may practice and experiment with them to figure which ones will be easy and which ones more complicated.

It truly was a really productive day! While we were cutting the wood and building one of the obstacles, the rest of our teammates were in a Labview programming seminar. Other ones were working with sponsorships and providing ideas of how raise funds because the countdown starts Monday February 1rst.
