Hablar con pasión/ Speak with passion

Es difícil pedir ayuda, especialmente cuando se trata de un proyecto tan grande; pero no imposible. Antes de salir de vacaciones de invierno, tuve la oportunidad de asistir con el capitán del equipo, Victor Huicochea, Erwin Cazares y la Head-Coach del equipo Margarita Vázquez a solicitar un patrocinio a la empresa Ethicon en Ciudad Juárez. Cuando llegamos, nos recibieron con los brazos abiertos. Los representantes de la empresa se mostraron muy amables e interesados sobre nuestro equipo. Les fascinó la idea de fomentar la curiosidad y la creatividad a los jóvenes de preparatoria mediante la participación en FRC (First Robotics Competition) FIRST. Aprendí que es primordial saber comunicar correctamente las ideas, hablar con claridad y un volumen adecuado, mantener a la audiencia atenta e incluso usar un vocabulario apropiado; pero lo más importante es hablar con la verdad. Hablar con esa pasión que tienes. Que con solo las palabras que salgan de tu boca, se cree un espacio lleno de infinitas posibilidades y que al fin de cuentas, ellos se enamoren tanto de FIRST como nosotros lo estamos.

It’s difficult to ask for help especially when it comes to such a large project but isn’t impossible. Before winter break, I had the opportunity to attend with the team captain Victor Huicochea, Erwin Cazares and Head Coach of the team Margarita Vázquez to ask for a sponsorship of Ethicon in Ciudad Juárez. When we arrived, they received us with open arms. The representatives of the company were very kind and interested about our team. They were fascinated by the idea of ​​expanding the curiosity and creativity of high school youth by participating in FRC (First Robotics Competition) FIRST. I learned that it is essential to be able to communicate ideas correctly, speak clearly and appropriately, keep the audience attentive and even use special vocabulary, but the most important thing I learned is to speak with the truth. Talk to them with the passion you have. That they can see the world as you see it, to create a space full of infinite possibilities and that after all, they fall in love with FIRST as we have done before.
