Mi experiencia / My experience

Desde el comienzo de esta competencia he aprendido diversas cosas, cosas que normalmente no se aprenden en un salón de clases: me enseñó que un verdadero líder escucha a sus compañeros y los intenta comprender lo más posible en todos los aspectos que este mismo esté dispuesto a escuchar.

Todo comenzó desde el día del kickoff, cuando las emociones brotaban y todos estábamos entusiasmados de ver que ya iba a ser momento de comenzar nuestro mayor reto hasta ahora y solo podíamos pensar en lo que teníamos en puerta para las próximas 6 semanas. Mientras las horas pasaban nosotros nos poníamos cada vez más emocionados para que sonaran las cornetas del inicio. Cuando el momento llego sinceramente no supimos que hacer, nos pusimos nerviosos pero entusiasmados al mismo tiempo, ya que iba a comenzar nuestro increíble reto.

Mientras pasaban las semanas, nos estresábamos más y cada vez era más difícil ver cuando íbamos a acabar. Todos estábamos enojados y desesperanzados, pues como novatos no estábamos muy seguros de cómo se hacían las cosas y eso nos estaba destrozando como equipo y como individuos, sin embargo los ingenieros no nos dejaron caer y nos empezaron a apoyar inclusive más, haciéndonos sentir un rayo de esperanza.

El último día solo nos podíamos sentir felices, aliviados y tranquilos. Finalmente, después de 6 semanas podíamos sentir que el alivio que producía la falta del estrés que nos había estado agobiando desde el comienzo del concurso. El momento antes de cerrar al robot, cuando vimos que todos los sistemas funcionaban, solo podíamos saltar de felicidad y sentir que ya estábamos listos para el concurso de la Cd. De Mexico!

Since the beginning of the competition i have learned various things, things that you would not normally learn in a classroom: it taught me that a true leader listens to their teammates and tries to understand them as much as possible in all of the aspects that he is ready to listen to.

Everything started since the day of the kickoff, when emotions were surfacing and everyone was excited that it was going to be the moment to begin our biggest challenge until now and we could only think on what we had ahead of us for the next 6 weeks. While the hours passed, we only got more excited for the beginning trumpets to sound. When the moment arrived sincerely we didn't knew what to do, we got nervous but excited at the same time, since it was going to be the beginning of our amazing challenge.

While the weeks passed we only got more stressed and each time it was harder to see when we were going to finish. Everyone was angry and out of hope, since as newbies we weren't really sure of things were done and that was destroying us as a team and as individuals, however the engineers didn't let us fall and started supporting us even more, making us feel a ray of hope.

The last day we could only feel happy, relieved and calm. Finally, after 6 weeks, we could feel the relief that came with the absence of stress that had been overwhelming us since the start of the competition. The moment before closing the robot, when we saw that all the systems worked, we could only jump from joy and feel like we are ready for the competition in Mexico City!
